Emergency

Choking, poison, injury, or severe allergic reaction — act first, then call us.

Athena — allergic reaction (sesame)
Camo fanny pack holds AuviQ, Zyrtec & the Zyrtec dispenser. It goes everywhere Athena goes.
First, how bad is it?
Mild = one mild symptom, like a couple of flat face hives only.
Severe = raised hives, or face + belly/back hives, or 2+ body systems affected.
If severe → epinephrine now
  1. Give the first dose of AuviQ or Epipen (both on the wall left of the apartment door).
  2. Go to the ER immediately — every minute matters. In an emergency you can take an Uber without car seats.
  3. Five minutes later, give the second dose.
  4. Grab the health insurance cards from the counter.
If mild → Zyrtec & call
  1. Give 2.5 mg of Zyrtec (in the camo fanny pack).
  2. Call the allergy lab (212-241-5548, not very responsive) or the pediatrician (718-576-2450; after-hours 718-576-1411) for guidance.
  3. Call us too.
AuviQ / Epipen: wall to the left of the apartment door.
Camo fanny pack: AuviQ, Zyrtec, dispenser — take everywhere.
Insurance cards: on the counter.
This is transcribed from the chart on the kitchen wall, by the rightmost cabinet. That chart is the source of truth for exactly when to give AuviQ/Epipen — check it.
